A public open house and public hearing has been scheduled for residents and organizations wishing to find out more, and comment, on the proposed Camozzi Bench treehouse hotel development, adjacent to Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
The City of Revelstoke has unveiled their position on the proposed treehouse hotel planned for a vacant property adjacent to the Revelstoke Mountain Resort village. In a series of complex trade offs, treehouse hotel developer David Evans would hold off on developing the whole property, but only if RMR meets conditions like adding a new ski lift, mountain biking trails, a restaurant and other amenities.
A developer wanting to build a 100-bed hotel on his 18-acre property just outside the Revelstoke Mountain Resort boundary has been met with opposition from the ski resort operator.
Community concerns were aired at the latest public hearing regarding the proposed bylaw zoning amendments that will allow for the Mackenzie Village housing development to move forward. After two and a half hours of hearing individual statements from residents, Revelstoke City councillors approved the third reading.
