As British Columbia braces for another early wildfire season, the Mountaineer takes a closer look at the training of wildland firefighters to understand how they mentally and physically prepare themselves for the season ahead.
The Three Valley Lake fire has been upgraded to an evacuation order on July 20, a day after authorities issued an evacuation alert.
According to B.C. Wildfire Services, none of the new fires are "of note." and all are suspected to be started by lightning.
Wildfires in Washington state and B.C. continue to blanket southern B.C. on Aug. 24, leading to heath warnings and weather alerts in some parts of B.C.
