BC Timber Sales will present their revised logging plans for the Mount Macpherson recreation area at an open house in the Mount Macpherson room of the Revelstoke Community Centre.
In early 2015, an open house on logging plans in the area attracted much controversy and a petition against logging in the popular biking, Nordic skiing, hiking and recreation area, which has been a managed forest — including logging — since the early 1970s.
At this meeting, BC Timber Sales will present their revised plans for logging in the area to community residents.
The open house takes place from noon to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7.
