Avalanche Canada Foundation (ACF) is hosting the online auction ‘Party for Powder’ to raise funds during the challenging winter of COVID-19.

ACF needs extra support in 2020, due to general funding challenges, and their fundraisers in Whistler and Calgary were cancelled due to COVID-19.

Backcountry use has increased during the pandemic, and with heli- and CAT-skiing operations being less active, ACF will receive less data on daily snow, weather, and avalanche observations, making their efforts more important than ever.

The auction features over 70 items, including heli- and CAT-ski trips, ski resort packages and adventures, original artwork, and outdoor gear.

So far, the online ‘Party for Powder’ has raised over $23,000 dollars.

New items will be added every day throughout the week. The online auction runs from November 22-29. If you want to support this great cause your bid has to be in by 6 p.m. MT on Sunday, Nov. 29.
