The Internal Investigations Office of BC has cleared the RCMP in the death of Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket, saying he died of a head trauma consistent with a fall, despite the fact that he was struck by a bullet.
A clear picture of what happened during the Oct. 11–12 manhunt and death of Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket will likely emerge, but it could take a year or more.
Revelstoke RCMP say they can't respond to questions about the investigation into the death of Sheldon Kyle Thunderblanket because the Independent Investigations Office of B.C. is leading the investigation.
