Brief: Craft Bierhause tops Revelstoke Burger Challenge
Revelstoke restaurants took on the challenge of creating the best burger while raising funds for the Okanagan Regional Library Revelstoke tech lab expansion
Craft Bierhaus’s lamb patty on a pretzel bun took top place in the first ever Revelstoke burger challenge. Big Eddy Pub took second place and Old School Eatery third.
In an email to the Mountaineer, organizer Mike Brown said while there were several categories choose from, winners were the same in every category as most voters tended to vote for the same restaurant across all categories.
Henri Faustin won the draw prize of a $20 gift certificate to each participating venue.
The real winner of the challenge, however, is the Revelstoke library. A dollar from each burger sold during the competition went towards funding the library’s tech lab expansion. The exact amount raised towards the library project was not immediately available.
