Who is the developer behind the Revelstoke Crossing shopping centre?

We find out more about the principal of Hall Pacific — the developer behind the potential Revelstoke Crossing development.

We all know that the Vancouver-based developer behind the contentious Revelstoke Crossing shopping centre is Hall Pacific. But what do we know of this developer and its principal — entrepreneur Fraser Hall?

In a document submitted by the developer and added late to Revelstoke’s latest city council meeting, we find out a little more.

Hall’s hometown is Kelowna and he branched out with his own company, Hall Pacific, in 2011. Fun fact: Fraser spent two years as a volunteer captain for the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and still returns when he’s needed for campaigns at sea.

With a bachelor of computer engineering from the University of Western Ontario and a masters in business administration from the University of British Columbia, Hall’s interests have led him to make headway with a number of business ventures.

He co-founded and chaired the Vancouver based, smart eyewear company, Recon Instruments, launched in 2008, which was acquired by Intel this year. He is co-founder and director of Bryght, a rapidly growing online furniture brand, and has recently launched Vancouver Founder Fund an entrepreneur friendly, Vancouver-focused seed fund.

Before creating Hall Pacific, Hall worked as a development manager for the Omni Group of Companies in Vancouver and his work focused on large master-planned communities. With this experience and a strong relationship with From Retail, a fast growing retail broker, Hall, through his company Hall Pacific, has worked on a number of residential and commercial developments.

The specific details of these, and more on Hall, can be found here in a bio sheet that was submitted to the City of Revelstoke.
