Welcome Week kicks off tonight with Moonlight Madness sale and more

The sixth annual Welcome Week kicks off tonight. It's a chance for newcomers to connect with the community through various low cost and free events.

Welcome Week kicks off tonight with the Moonlight Madness sale  starting at 6 p.m. There is also a kids pizza, swim and movie night taking place at the Revelstoke Community Centre starting at 5 p.m., and curling at the Revelstoke Curling Rink at 7 p.m.

The annual event focuses on connecting newcomers to the community. Free or low cost events are offered throughout the week in the spirit of celebration, and to showcase the various services, businesses, and opportunities in Revelstoke. It’s also an opportunity for Revelstokians to share their passion for the community.

Highlights of the week include:

-The Volunteer Fair & Community Dinner on Tuesday, Nov. 27.

-Staying Alive avalanche education event on Wednesday, Nov. 28 at the Community Centre.

-Lucas Myers production of The Revelstoke Project and Campground at Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre on Nov. 30 & Dec. 1.
