Revelstoke may be best known as a four-season outdoor playground, but the city also boasts a thriving — and very welcoming—arts community. Each year the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre hosts the annual Christmas Shop, where arts and crafts made by talented local artists are both on display and up for sale.

This year’s Christmas Shop opening includes live music by Jared Wayne, open studios, demos and a kids crafting table.

The opening of the Christmas Shop & Open Studio takes place tonight, Thursday, Nov. 28 from 5–9p.m. as part of the many Welcome Week activities taking place throughout Revelstoke. Admission is a donation of a dry/canned good for the Community Connections Food Bank. The Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre is located at 320 Wilson Street.
