On Sunday evening, the City of Revelstoke announced they’d start work Monday to repair an eight-inch water main that burst in the area on Friday. Over the weekend, the area around the train tracks crossing the road at the Fourth/Victoria/Townley intersection experienced some flooding, and temporary warning signs were erected.
The work on Monday morning diverted eastbound traffic away from the intersection, while westbound traffic was controlled by a signal person.
Crews could be seen chopping up the blacktop as of 8 a.m. on Monday. No word on how long the repairs will take to complete.
