Video preview: Valley Uprising anchors Banff’s Radical Reels tour in Revelstoke

Whether you’re an adventure junkie or simply an armchair voyeur the 2015 Radical Reels Films tour is bound to inspire.

Every year, the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival presents the wildly popular Radical Reels night, a presentation of the best high-adrenaline films entered into the Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival competition. Inspired by its popularity, the Radical Reels Tour has travelled in Canada, the USA, and abroad with a selection of the hottest action sports films since 2004.

The Radical Reels Tour focuses on dynamic, high-adrenaline films featuring sports such as skiing, climbing, kayaking, BASE jumping, snowboarding and mountain biking, and new sports such as snow-kiting and speed-riding.

Check out the summaries and trailers of the eight short films which will show at the Revelstoke Performing Arts Centre on Friday, September 18. The World Tour, which may include some elements of the Radical Reels, will show on a day earlier on Thursday, September 17.

All My Own Stunts

Rob Jarman is a downhill mountain bike specialist and a professional stuntman. Following a near-fatal accident, he has battled to stay atop both fields. This film focuses on the emotional and gripping story about how hard it is to let go.
