VideoVideo: Mount Macpherson logging meeting attracts crowd

About 180 people attended a Jan. 13 open house to explore the issue of logging in the Mount Macpherson recreation area.
The open house featured presentations by several forestry companies as well as from Ken Gibson the former Recreation Officer for Columbia Shuswap.
It was organized by the Revelstoke Cycling Association and the Revelstoke Nordic Ski Club, out of concern with plans for further timber harvesting on Mount Macpherson, where both groups have extensive trail networks.
Revelstoke Mountaineer reporter Nick Khattar attended the open house and spoke to several stakeholders and attendees.
The video features interviews as well as footage from the event.
