As ski season draws to an end, Revelstoke Mountain Resort prepares its new summer attraction, The Pipe mountain coaster, to be ready for riding on the May long weekend.
Opening Saturday May 21, The Pipe is the first in North America to be made by Austrian company Brandauer, an established global brand that has 35 coasters in 11 countries.
Thrill seekers a strapped in to this single-track coaster, that can travel at speeds of up to 42km/hr and whisks guests 1.4 kilometres from Revelation Lodge down to the Village Plaza.
Riders can control their speed for more of a cruising experience that makes the most of the summer scenery, passing through ski runs, forest, and a tunnel.
Revelstoke Mountain Resort’s line-up of summer activities include sightseeing and breakfast via the Revelation Gondola as well as Heli Adventures with Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing, offering a range of exhilarating activities that include sightseeing, hiking, alpine picnics, and biking.
