Revelstoke city council will decide whether to support a revised application submitted by Revelstoke Backcountry Guides for tenure that overlaps the Greeley Creek Watershed at their Nov. 14 meeting.
City of Revelstoke staff and councillors have expressed concern on why they had to ask for a referral letter regarding a proposed adventure tenure that overlaps the Greeley Creek watershed. The proponent says he is willing to work with the city to ensure their concerns are mitigated.
City supports the development of winter recreation in the Revelstoke area, but is concerned about the impact the proposed development could have on the Greeley Creek community watershed.
Mountain Youth Experience is a six–day summer camp for youth ages 12 to 14, and provides leadership training, mindfulness, and mountain-based sports skills.
