Stoke Street Style: summer urban casual

As temperatures rise in Revelstoke, the summer uniform turns to favour hats, sunglasses and denim shorts with a touch of individual style.

We caught Ellen on her way to a lunch date at the Main Street Cafe. Originally from Nakusp, Ellen is spending the summer here in Revelstoke to work and be with friends. We loved her summer-smart style; casual, comfortable with an urban edge.

What are you wearing?

All black Vans, high-waisted shorts and a crop top. A black and gold Volcom bag, the hat is from the States and aviator sunglasses.

The Celtic necklace — it’s one of my favourite necklaces. I bought it from a cute little store in Nakusp.

How do you describe your style?

All over the place. I never really have a decided style. I kind of like too many different things. Some days you will see me and I’m just wearing plain boring clothes and other days I’ll switch it up.

What do you like about Revelstoke style?

That it is all over the place. It’s never really something that’s a decided thing. You look around and everyone is wearing something completely different and I love that because its about individuality.

What is one item that you would love to have?

I’m into watches at the moment. I bought a Michael Kors watch and I love it. I’ve been admiring The Fifth Watches.
