Skatepark fundraiser rakes in over $9,000

Columbia Valley Skateboard Association president Karl Jost is thanking the community for their generosity after a Monday, Jan. 26 silent auction fundraiser showed huge support for the Kovach Park skatepark initiative.

“With all the awesome donations and beautiful supporting people of Revelstoke we were able to raise over $9,000!” Jost said. “Thank you to everyone who donated and supported this event and thank you Revelstoke for your generosity.”

The event featured tables of snow, skate and art donations spread around the lounge, and emceeing by Jost.

The event was organized by CVSA member Mike Moynihan.
