A second farmers’ market for Revelstoke is a go. The market will be located on Mackenzie Avenue between First Street and Second Street on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In a Facebook post, Revelstoke food security coordinator Melissa Hemphill said applications for the new market are being taken on a first come, first serve basis. “We hope to have our market policies in place and ready to share on Monday, May 8, but in the meantime, if you make, bake, grow, raise or wild-harvest your products, you can apply here: https://goo.gl/forms/9Vxgtrw9MrvsrBN22,” she wrote wrote in a post in the Citizens in support of a fair Revelstoke Farm & Craft Market group.

The City of Revelstoke also announced that new designated no parking signs will be installed. The no parking areas will be in effect on Saturday’s between 6:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. between First Street and Second Street on Mackenzie Avenue to accommodate the new market.
The signs will be in effect until mid October.
“We thank you for your patience while we continue to work on the establishment of this market. We are super excited to be providing this service to our community,” said Hemphill.
