Video Salomon Freeski TV features Revelstoke forestry museum, ski/forestry focus
Revelstoke’s B.C. Interior Forestry Museum and several Revelstoke-based ski industry professionals had a hand in creating a video that explores the relationship between forestry, backcountry access and skiing.
The video titled Cutting Lines is part of ski brand Salomon‘s Freeski TV web series. It was published on Jan. 27.
It features monologues about forestry and harvesting and its relationship to skiing and the land base.
There are lots of shots of historical logging equipment from our museum, harvesting in the hills and lots of cutblock skiing.
It features a cast of freeskiers that includes local talent Chris Rubens and Jake Teuton. Bruno Long, logger Dave Dickson, Anna Minten of the B.C. Interior Forestry Museum are featured or credited in the film. Cutting Lines was also filmed in other locations.
Episodes of the Salomon Freeski TV series attract views in the range of 50,000 up to over 400,000.
