Much of the music that you will hear is classic jazz, the standards passed down from Duke Ellington, Miles Davis, Cole Porter, Nat King Cole etc. Mixed into the blend are eclectic jazz pieces with a slight twist on tempo and melodic harmony — a feature of the individuality of the bands creativeness.
Just to mix it up a bit, a few classic rock numbers and some original creations. As the name of the group implies they are all related, with some stretch of the imagination.
The members of Relative Jazz have a great time making music together and it’s always a fun and wonderful night playing at the plaza. Hope to see you there.
