Over the past months, you may have noticed YourLink Revelstoke workers and their contractors digging trenches, installing new lines and upgrading their infrastructure in Revelstoke.

It’s all part of the local cable company’s aggressive upgrading that has enabled them to launch new higher speeds and new competitive packages in the past week.

YourLink, formerly known as Revelstoke Cable, has always combined great local service backed up by their eight local and 12 regional employees who make serving their friends and neighbours a top priority.

Now, their local-touch service is supported by a newly launched website, and new higher speed Internet, in addition to Cable TV, digital phone and business services.

“Our customers like that they can come in and they can talk to somebody and most times we can work on it quickly,” said programming and advertising manager Shawn Filipchuk. “We offer a quicker response time.”

The recent upgrades get technical very quickly. In plain English, the company has doubled their backhaul capacity, done major trunk line upgrades and has now split their service into eastern and western sections. The bottom line is more reliable Internet service and faster speeds all packaged into affordable prices with no charges for over usage.

They offer a range of packages, including speeds that are more than enough for average users, and are affordable.

When you have questions about your service, or have technical difficulties, it’s nice to call a Revelstoke ‘837’ number and deal with someone local who can get a technician on the issue right away. YourLink maintains a downtown office where friendly staff are waiting to help you in person. Call them at 250-837-5346.

Filipchuck said the personal touch is important to their customers, who don’t want to be put on hold forever only to deal with someone at a call centre overseas.

“They like that we’re local. They recognize us while we’re out grocery shopping, walking down the street,” she said. “A lot of these people we have served them, their children and their children’s children.”

YouLink has launched a new website. For more information on their new services, check out YourLink’s new website at www.yourlinkrevelstoke.com.
