Starting March 26, revelstokemountaineer.com will return with limited online coverage of the COVID-19 situation in Revelstoke. Unfortunately, our print magazine remains suspended indefinitely.

We will be doing a daily Revelstoke COVID-19 update post, which will be a compilation of newsworthy local briefs relating to COVID-19 and Revelstoke’s response.

Our plan is to provide a daily, centralized information resource for Revelstoke, emphasizing verified local information.

Due to extreme financial hardship caused by the COVID-19 disaster, we have very limited resources and these updates will require participation and cooperation from community members.

Submit your COVID-19 Revelstoke community updates

We have set up a submission form on the revelstokemountaineer.com homepage. It is only available on the desktop version for now. Please submit your updates using the form located on the top right of our homepage. Bookmark the link now: https://revelstokemountaineer.com/submit-a-story/

Sorry, but we can’t take emailed submissions at this time; please use the submission form.

“We have an extremely limited capacity to continue through the COVID-19 crisis due to financial hardship caused by the crisis. Our team has been hit hard, including one who has had to leave town due to COVID-19, others dealing with childcare or new responsibilities, and the additional challenge of doing things remotely,” said Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine and revelstokemountaineer.com Creative Director Aaron Orlando. “We are providing this service in response to many inquiries about getting information out to the public. Our focus is to centralize important, verified information related to the community response to the COVID-19 crisis. Please read and follow the instructions on the submission page carefully.”

For now, the focus is on the local response to the COVID-19 situation; please remember our coverage of the COVID-19 situation is limited, so we won’t be chasing stories or providing COVID-19 information beyond what’s happening in Revelstoke.

Most importantly, we rely on everyone to follow the process and use the form to submit your information. Thanks, and stay safe!
