Here at the Revelstoke Mountaineer, we’ve done the work of organizing your social calendar, so that you don’t have to! Check out this weekend’s events below. Friday, March 22
Grizzles Game: Kelowna vs Revelstoke at Revelstoke Forum, 7 p.m.
Looking to unwind after a hard week? There’s no better time or place than Friday night at the Revelstoke Forum. So, come on down and support your local junior hockey team, enjoy a cold one and tuck into some of the best poutine in town. The Revelstoke Grizzlies take on the Kelowna Chiefs this Friday at the Revelstoke Forum. The Grizzlies lead the Okanagan/Shuswap Conference final 2-0 and could take the series with two home wins Friday and Saturday. The game starts at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6 p.m. If you’re looking for a seat in the beer garden, be sure to get there early as seats fill up fast. Tickets: Adults $11 / Students & Seniors $9 / Children $6.

Skiitour at Traverse, 9 p.m.
The legendary Whistler DJ duo, SkiiTour, will be taking over Traverse this Friday night. When they’re not shredding fresh pow, the dynamic duo can be found smashing out hit records in the studio. This is no ordinary party too – make sure to dust off the retro ski-onesies and goggles, as it’s essential that you celebrate this evening in the appropriate attire! Doors for this event open at 9 p.m. and DJ Shylow will be warming up the dance floor.

In/Vertigo & Open Air at the Last Drop Pub, 10 p.m.
Cheap drink deals all night, as well as some head-banging music from the Calgary-based rock and roll band, In/Vertigo, leaves little reason not to visit the Drop this Friday. But if that’s still not enough for you, the up-and-coming rock band Open-Air will also be joining in on the madness — making sure you’ll get your fill of Rock all evening. The show starts at 10 p.m. and this event has no cover charge.

The Lazy Syrup Orchestra at Traverse, 10 p.m.

As part of their Marchrooms Tour, The Lazy Syrup Orchestra will be dropping in at Traverse this Saturday night. The group blends unique MCing and live instruments with eclectic dance music from around the world. Expect indolent sounds, thick vibrations and sweet melodies. Tickets are available for pre-purchase online for $9.50.

Small Town Revival at The River City Pub, 10 p.m.
Based in Golden BC, John Jenkins has small-town in his blood and in his music. His ‘Small Town Revival’ is a Two-Man Trio Show but if you close your eyes and just listen, you’ll swear there’s a whole band happening. His accompanying musician, His mate, Jackson Baker, does vocals and plays bass. For a satisfying fusion of Roots, Rock, Blues, Funk and Folk, head down to the River City Pub at 10 p.m. this Saturday night. This is a free event.

Sunday Sessions at The River City Pub, 8 p.m.

As part of an ongoing series, Sunday Sessions will return once more this weekend with your host Jesse Booth. The event will run from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will feature various musicians performing quality live music. With no cover charge, what better way to spend a Sunday evening?
