Each Revelstoke neighbourhood has its advantages and benefits & for those looking to purchase a home or land, you know when a neighbourhood you’re looking in feels ‘right.’

It’s been great to see all the renovations and new homes being built around town. There is an obvious desire by the new energy arriving in our mountain town, wanting to bring to Revelstoke, innovative ideas that are in use and working around the world. This goes for specific building materials, design & emerging trends.

Look at the townhomes, tiny homes, sea cans, and carriage homes to name a few that are increasing in popularity. What many people are looking for is just the right amount of space, not necessarily the biggest space. Who are those Jones’ anyway?

When we have the great outdoors all around us, it is so satisfying to head home after a day in the mountains to a smaller, unique-to-you space with little or no maintenance. You spend less time cleaning and more quality time doing what it is that brought you here in the first place and hey if you lose your keys they’re easier to find!

We are on the cusp of big things Revelstoke! As a follow-up to the Innovation Night on June 27, put on by the Mountain CoLab & hosted by the Craft Bierhaus, make it known what you want to see happen in Revelstoke in the way of neighbourhood trends? Tell the mayor and councillors! Speak up! If there’s a template working elsewhere, why can’t it work here?

Who wouldn’t want to see Revelstoke grow into a diverse community with housing in all price ranges & styles, giving all who have the desire, the opportunity to live here. It really does take all kinds to make something distinctive. Revelstoke should be it!
