Revelstoke RCMP: Search warrant turns up stolen mountain bikes, sawed off shotgun

I’m The Revelstoke RCMP recovered stolen mountain bikes, power tools and other stolen property when they executed a search warrant on a Humbert Street house on Friday, June 10.

Police also seized three firearms, saying one of them was a loaded sawed off shotgun. They also recovered ammunition.

The raid also turned up drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested two adult men who were inside the Southside home at the time of the Friday evening raid.

One of the men was released without charges. The other, a 24-year-old man who was a resident of the home, was released on a promise to appear in court.

Police say he is expected to appear in Revelstoke Provincial Court to face firearms charges and charges of possession of stolen property.

Revelstoke RCMP spokespersons were not available for comment Wednesday morning. We’ll update this story when they return our call.

Professional biker’s stolen bikes recovered in incident

Revelstoke professional mountain biker Stu Dickson did confirm that police did recover two of his high end mountain bikes at the home.

His very expensive bikes were stolen from his downtown home on May 23 after he left them In out back of his house briefly after returning home.

The Revelstoke RCMP have yet to reply to provide additional comment.
