Update: RCMP locate missing Revelstoke man deceased

Update: 1:45 p.m.

Revelstoke RCMP have released a statement confirming that Peter Korney, who was reported missing this morning, has been found deceased.

Korney’s death has been deemed non suspicious. The Revelstoke RCMP continues to assist the BC Coroners Services in their investigations into the man’s death.
No further information is being released at this time.

Peter Korney, an elderly male has been reported missing from his residence on McKinnon Road in Revelstoke as of today, Tuesday October 31. Revelstoke RCMP state in a release he was last seen  seen at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 30. Korney drives a red 2008 Jeep Wrangler with B.C. licence plate number 565 WGR. He is 89 years of age, 6’4”, 220 lbs. with short grey hair and hazel eyes.

Revelstoke RCMP are currently searching for Mr. Korney. Police are asking for assistance from the public that if they see the Jeep or find the male to please advise the RCMP immediately.
