Revelstoke RCMP issue missing person alert for Robert Kinnee after abandoned truck discovered

Revelstoke RCMP issued a missing person alert on June 3 after an abandoned truck was discovered in a remote location north of Revelstoke.

Police are looking for Robert Kinnee, 56, whose last known address was in Edmonton, Alberta.

Police say Kinnee’s white 1996 Jeep Cherokee was discovered on May 20 on the Big Mouth Creek Road, a forestry road that branches off Highway 23 North near the Mica Dam. His vehicle was discovered on a branch road that was deactivated.

Based on their observations, Revelstoke RCMP believe the vehicle had been there since late October, 2014.

Kinee was known as a mushroom picker and tree planter, and he also worked in the oil fields in Alberta.

In a statement, Cpl. Thomas Blakney of the Revelstoke RCMP said that Kinee checked out of a hotel in Revelstoke on Oct. 7, 2014, and then possibly travelled to Calgary to visit family, before returning to Revelstoke.

Robert Cline Kinnee, 56, is described as a Caucasian male with green eyes, greying brown hair, and is six feet tall with a slim build.
