Revelstoke RCMP arrest Southside prowler

Police have a suspect in custody after a series of vehicle break-ins in Southside in the night between Sept. 1 and 2.

Revelstoke RCMP have made an arrest in connection with a series of vehicle break-ins in the Southside area.

Police say a number of cars in the 700-block of Fourth and Fifth Streets East area were broken into or entered via unlocked doors in the night between Sept. 1st and 2nd.

Items like CDs, cash and other personal valuables were stolen.

Police say they now have a suspect in custody for questioning, but provided little other info in a Sept. 3 media release.

“The Revelstoke RCMP are advising the public to ensure they lock their doors at all times and secure valuables in places such as their trunk or take them inside their residence,” wrote RCMP Cpl. Thomas Blakney in a media release.

Police are seeking info about this or other prowling incidents. Contact the Revelstoke detachment at 250-837-5255.
