Revelstoke Mountain Resort is the winner for Best Canadian Ski Resort at the World Ski Awards. This is the second win for the Resort since 2016.

Nominees in this category included Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, Whistler Blackcomb, and Mont Tremblant among others. Votes are cast by leading ski tourism professionals, and ski consumers world-wide. The overall winner for the World’s Best Ski Resort went to Val Thorens in France, renowned for being the highest ski town in Europe.

“Our whole team at Revelstoke Mountain Resort is honored to be recognized once again as the premiere ski destination in Canada. We are looking forward to another great season this year” said Peter Nielsen, Vice President of Operations for Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Launched in 2013, the World Ski Awards is the premiere awards program in ski tourism—and aims to drive up standards within the ski tourism industry by rewarding organizations that are leaders in their field. This year, winners were announced in an online event instead of the traditional World Ski Awards Gala Ceremony, which has been postponed until 2021.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort is scheduled to open Friday, November 27, with the health and safety of employees and guests top of mind. The resort will continue to follow guidelines from the province, Interior Health and the Canada West Ski Areas Association (CWSAA) to ensure our ability to operate in a safe manner this season.

Under the latest province-wide Covid-19 travel advisory, the resort is currently encouraging all skiers and riders to avoid non-essential travel and ski local.
