Revelstoke Mountain Resort to open top to bottom terrain for opening day

Revelstoke Mountain Resort (RMR) kicks off its 2022/23 season on Saturday, December 3. The resort plans to open top to bottom terrain for opening day.

After a week of snowfall, RMR prepares to welcome snow sliders to the trails. “Thanks to a team effort from Mother Nature and our snow-making team, we are officially opening the Resort from top to bottom,” announced RMR in a press release on December 1. “That’s right, 1,713 metres (5,620 feet) of thigh-burning vertical awaits!”

Resort staff report varying base depths depending on terrain and elevation. While Greely Bowl and Subpeak will remain closed, North Bowl terrain will be open depending on conditions.

The Last Spike will be open and groomed to the village from below the base of the Stoke Chair.

Resort staff strongly discourage tree skiing this early in the season and want to remind guest to respect all closure. Check out the Opening Weekend Map for closed areas.

All runs off of Stellar Chair and the Little Bit Magic Carpet will be open. A limited number of terrain park features will also be open, as well as the Gnome Zone. All lifts will be open except the Turtle Creek Magic Carpet.

Lifts spin tomorrow at 8:30 and if resort guests want first tracks, they’ll have to wake up early and join the line.
