Revelstoke model hopefuls line up at Style Trend
Young Revelstoke modelling hopefuls had the chance to wow model scouts with their good looks today (Jan. 25) at Style Trend Clothiers.
The stopover for the Kelowna-based agency Deja Vu was part of their scouting tour. It’s not all about getting that cookie cutter look though, the agency is seeking new faces for catalogue and international opportunities.
“The lifestyle division, that’s kind of the local part of modeling,” Deja Vu Model Management owner Sabrina Notte said.
“You can be any height, any age and any size. You still have to develop like a model so you still are giving the local clients what they need.”

Style Trend Clothiers owner Diane Bull uses models from the agency to show off her products online and has done so for the last few years.
“It’s neat to see some of the models start off with them and they come down and do a shoot with us,” she said.
“We’re just a small business and about six months or a year later we see those same models go to LA on a contract.”
The agency is looking for potential male and females around the ages 12 to 19 and experience is not necessary.
“Half of (our models) are from agencies and half are locals with no experience,” Bull said.
DejaVu Model Management trends towards the classic look, though Notte said they are growing somewhat out of the box with models who have that special extra something.
One local Revelstoke girl, Cassidy Hale, is on the agency’s books in the more exclusive international division.
For those who missed today’s call-out, pop into Style Trend and chat to the girls there, or check out Deja Vu’s website where they have a section to submit interest.

Revelstoke may have months of winter still to go but eye-popping brights and breezy fabrics wait for nobody. Style Trend Clothiers’ Diane Bull says customers are already gravitating towards these new styles and the trick is to just combine your wardrobes until the sun really decides to stay.
“Layer it,” she said. “Get that peach tank that you’re in love with and just throw it under your cream cardigan. And then wait until you can bust out your denim shorts.”
Though with this warm weather coming through, that may be sooner rather than later.
