Revelstoke man arrested in relation to Sicamous aggravated assault

The assault occurred on July 28 in Sicamous, and RCMP arrested the suspect on Aug. 8 in Revelstoke. He will appear in Salmon Arm court on Sept. 14 to face charges.

A Revelstoke man has been arrested following an alleged assault on two people with a pellet gun in Sicamous last month.

According to RCMP, the incident occurred in the early morning on July 28 at a residence in the 400-block of Main St. in Sicamous. A 43-year-old Revelstoke man was arrested by Revelstoke RCMP on Aug. 8 in relation to the crime.

Both victims of the attack are Revelstoke residents. A 24-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were shot with a pellet gun multiple times. They were then treated at a hospital and released. Each victim is known to the suspect.

The suspect was released on an undertaking, and will appear in court in Salmon Arm on Sept. 14. Sgt. Murray McNeil of the Sicamous RCMP states they are continuing to investigate the case, alongside Revelstoke RCMP and Southeast District RCMP.
