Revelstoke Hospice Society welcomes new board members
The Revelstoke Hospice Society is holding an AGM on May 19 and is welcoming new volunteers.
Since 1994 the Revelstoke Hospice Society has attracted some of the city’s most loyal, spunky and selfless individuals as part of our frontline volunteers.
The Society is now looking for members for the volunteer Board of Directors.
“I think there are a lot of people who want to give back to the community, and not sure how. Sitting on the Hospice board is a way to make necessary change in your community, especially for those who continue to be affected by the isolation created by the pandemic,” says Theresa Hamilton, Executive Director of the Revelstoke Hospice Society. “Our Hospice does amazing work. Each volunteer has expressed, at some point, how rewarding this work is. I think it’s great to see people in town honored by this work. At the end of the day, it is just about being human with one another.”
