After two defeats to the Doug Birks Division champion 100 Mile House Wranglers in their first-round KIJHL playoff series, the Revelstoke Grizzlies showed the home crowd they could compete against their Cariboo rivals, taking a 1-1 game into overtime on Saturday night.

They traded opportunities with the visitors, beating them 35-29 in shots-on-goal in an end-to-end affair, but came up short in OT, when Wrangler Tyler Povelofskie scored for the visitors in the closing moments of the first overtime.

With the win, the Wranglers tightened the lasso on the Grizzlies with a 3-0 lead in a best-of-four series.
