Revelstoke Garden & Art Tour event combines with RVAC community garden opening
Revelstoke’s Garden & Art Tour combines amazing local gardens with local artists to create a series of unique experiences. This year, the event culminates with the opening of the new community garden at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre.
Is there an enticing secret garden in your neighbourhood that you have always wanted to nose around? Well jump on your bike or borrow a friend’s and take part in Revelstoke’s Garden and Art tour on Saturday, July 25.
This unique event allows the public to discover and tour the city’s hidden gardens that have been cultivated by dedicated residents.
It’s the third year this event has operated and this time will feature ten gardens and 20 artists. A variety of local food vendors will also be part of the day.
The tour will end at the Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre with a happy hour and music. The community garden at RVAC will also be officially launched and the center’s revitalization celebrated.
Tour: 11.30–5 p.m.
Evening happy hour: 5–7 p.m.
Tickets: Tickets are $15 per person (includes one free drink at our Grand Opening Happy Hour) and kids under 12 are free. Self-guiding maps can be purchased the day of the event at the Downtown Community Garden (Revelstoke United Church) between 10.30 a.m.-12 noon.
Organiser Erin Wilkins is looking for a few volunteers. She needs:
