Revelstoke city announces new finance director William Wallace
The City of Revelstoke has announced their new Director of Finance.
The City of Revelstoke has announced the appointment of William Wallace, CPA, CA as its Director of Finance.
In a statement, the city said it received 39 resumes as part of the Director of Finance competition, saying, “Mr. Wallace’s skills, knowledge and experience making him the successful candidate for the position.
“I am very happy to be joining the City of Revelstoke and will do my best to serve the Revelstoke community well,” said Wallace in a statement.
Wallace has worked as the Director of Finance in Williams Lake and the District of Houston and comes to Revelstoke with over 15 years experience as a Chief Financial Officer. The city cited the new finance director’s qualifications in strategic planning, execution, negotiation and major project development.
Wallace also served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Columbia Basin Trust, and also for the Local Governments for Sustainability in the USA.
“We are fortunate to have someone so experienced and qualified join our staff team at city hall,” said mayor Mark McKee in a statement. “The city is very busy right now and we need someone like Mr. Wallace who has a proven track record of adapting quickly to a changing environment.”
Mr. Wallace will begin in early November 2016.
Wallace replaces retiring finance director Graham Inglis.
