Revelstoke athletes take top 5 in Freeride World Qualifiers
The event, held at Revelstoke Mountain Resort January 6, 9 and 10, features some of the best athletes in skiing and snowboarding
Several Revelstoke athletes placed in their categories during the Freeride World Qualifiers held at Revelstoke Mountain Resort last week.
During the qualifiers, some of North America’s gnarliest skiers and snowboarders compete for a spot on the International Freeskiers and Snowboarders Association’s Freeride World Tour.
Revelstoke riders placing in the two-star event held on Monday, Jan. 6 were:
Female Snowboard
3rd place – Ciara Michaluk
Male Snowboard
4th place – Maxim Lelek
5th place – Kyle van Yzerloo
Male Ski
5th place – Billy Lloyd-Blainey (From AUS but spends winters in Revelstoke)
Revelstoke athletes placing in the four-star event held Thursday Jan. 9 and Friday Jan. 10 were:
Male Snowboard
4th place – Kai White
