After dwelling around the basement suite for much of the Revelstoke men’s league 2015/16 hockey season, the Regent Royals strung together a series of late season wins, emerging as contenders in the home stretch.
The season culminated in a March 15 final pitting the Regent Royals against the Zalas Blackhawks.
After 60 minutes, the Royals skated away with a 5-3 win and the cup. Geoff Bell and Seth Leonard both scored twice for the Royals, and Liam Ironside got the other goal.
Steve Bell scored all the points for the Blackhawks, skating away with a hat trick.
Congrats Royals!
