Photos: Revelstoke gathers to celebrate Grizzlies’ KIJHL victory

The Revelstoke Grizzlies and over 200 fans gathered in Grizzly Plaza on April 6 to welcome the team home and celebrate their 2019 KIJHL championship.

The team hoisted the cup in Grizzly Plaza for the adoring fans, volunteers, staff and family members gathered as the team paraded down Mackenzie Avenue to the rally.

The ceremony opened with a tribute and moment of silence to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash tragedy.

Afterwards, there were speeches, celebrations and lots of photos with the team.

Next up, Cyclone Taylor Cup

The Grizzlies will now skate on to compete in the Cyclone Taylor Cup, the annual four-team tournament that brings the best Junior B teams in the province together.

This year, Campbell River plays host, so as the hosts the local Campbell River Storm will play.
