Photo gallery: Urban and hiking style in Revelstoke

The Revelstoke heritage downtown makes for a great photoshoot location.

The familiar quaint buildings of Mackenzie Avenue help root our images in what is quintessentially Revelstoke, for the Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine’s June style shoot, which focused on urban fashion.

Volunteer models were sourced from Kelowna’s Dejavu Model Management. Shealyn Stickney, Nicole Metlewsky and Saaby Thind made the trek to Revelstoke for the shoot, although some were already familiar with the city from work with Style Trend Clothiers.

We love featuring local models so if you want to represent Revelstoke, have some fun and get a professional photoshoot while you’re at it, please get in touch!

Sarah Mickel Photography did the photography and well as the styling for the shoot. Hair stylist Britt Cochrane from 1st Impressions Hair Salon and makeup artist Sarah Celenia Gaynor from The Beauty Room also got on board.

Urban fashion

Revelstoke’s day-to-day fashion is about casual comfort. In this shoot, we focused on simple on-trend looks for summer 2016 inspiration.

When there is an occasion in Revelstoke that calls for a touch of glamour, there are places you can find what you need here.

This stunning blue dress, which you can dress up or down was found at Wearabouts Clothing. This look was accessorized with sunglasses from Revy Outdoors and jewellery from Garnish.

Hiking

With summer and hiking season upon us, it’s time to check out what Revelstoke has in the way of athletic wear — and there’s a massive selection. We have a number of outdoor stores in town that cater to Revvy’s love of the wilderness.

For these looks, backpacks and Saaby’s shoes were sourced from Wearabouts Clothing, clothes and sunglasses were from Revy Outdoors, and the ladies’ shoes were from Universal Footwear.
