Dirt bikes, good friends and exhilarating times racing around Revelstoke’s forests. Ladies and their families came from all over Alberta and B.C. to join in the fun of Revy Riders’ ladies-only triple-b rally event over the weekend from Friday July 8.

It’s the third time this event has run, hosted by the Glacier House Resort, and organizer Eve Northmore said its growing in popularity every year.

There was no shortage of good vibes, great people and high energies this past weekend,” she said.

Over 50 participants came hauling their bikes, campers, friends and families to take advantage of Revy Riders’ extensive trail system.

They enjoyed a full weekend of camping, a packed event day on Saturday July 9 with local trail guides, a braap-athalon team relay, Revelution yoga, a refreshing swim in Lake Revelstoke and a BBQ awards dinner.

Maureen “Mo” Hutchinson, an event regular and clear crowd favourite from Peachland took top marks for the rally with a combination of her checkpoints score and the riders poll.

The Mountaineer recently covered this growing women’s dirt bike scene in Revelstoke in the July issue of the free Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine (p.12).
