Revelstoke Museum’s Art in the Garden sessions start

The opening session of Art In the Garden saw a number of people enjoying a sun drenched morning in the Revelstoke Museum’s Heritage Garden. Catherine Craig and Jo Willems were the feature artists in attendance.

Some people settled onto benches to sketch the bumble bees in the blossoms. Others enjoyed a discussion with Craig, whose colourful abstract acrylic works adorned the garden.

Willems set up a demonstration of soapstone carving. providing samples of stone for those who might be inspired to try their hand at rasping and sanding the soft stone into creative form.

This coming Saturday Peter Blackmore will be sharing some of his sizable knowledge in the magic of painting with encaustic wax, and Susan Lind will have many of her beautiful acrylic studies on display.

Art In the Garden takes place in the Heritage Garden on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until noon.
