Crews are currently on scene of a multi-vehicle accident on the Trans-Canada Highway west of Revelstoke between the Enchanted Forest and Three Valley Gap.
DriveBC reports crews are assessing the situation and is expected to provide an update at 3 p.m.
A scan of the DriveBC highway cameras in the area didn’t show any vehicles stopped on the highway.

DriveBC has now pushed the estimated update time back to 3:30 p.m. For traffic updates, check the DriveBC website.
The event has dropped off the DriveBC incidents page, which could indicate it has been cleared. There are no road closures reported in the area as of 3:15 p.m.

DriveBC is now saying the highway is closed at the location and an the estimated time of reopening is 4:30 pm. Highway cameras show traffic at a standstill near the incident.
DriveBC said at 4:20 p.m. the highway was operating on single-lane alternating traffic at the time. The next update is expected at 5:15 p.m.
In another incident, DriveBC is now reporting a vehicle fire on Highway 23 just north of Nakusp has closed that highway. The traffic service estimates the road will not reopen until 7 p.m. Those considering a detour around the incident on the Trans-Canada take note.
At 4:45 DriveBC said the incident on the Trans-Canada Highway is now cleared. Please drive safely and carefully as these incidents generate a significant volume of backlog that can lead to further incidents caused by aggressive driving: trying to pass people isn’t going to get you there much faster when it’s congested for kilometres.
