New online tool to provide business community with quick access to resources and expertise

A new online resource is aimed at helping to provide information and resources to the local business community in an effective and timely manner.

The Revelstoke Business Resource was created as a collaborative project spearheaded by the Business Information Centre team,including: Community Economic Development, the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce, and Community Futures.

The business resource is being used to help communicate a consistent message to the business community on what each of the organizations key service areas are and how to contact them for further information.

The primary goal of the resource is to provide businesses with easy access to local business resources and expertise.

The final product available online was the result of conversation and dialogue around what information needed to be included. An assessment of the volume of enquiries received from the Business Information Centre resulted in the creation of a ‘one stop shop’ for business information.

Creating the online tool brought organizations together and created further dialogue on how they each serve businesses. It is hoped that in the long run it will minimize duplication and enhance community collaboration in fostering a positive entrepreneurial environment.
