New look for Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine December 2019 issue

Check out our new design and branding in the December 2019 e-edition of Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine here.

While this may look like a beautiful day in the mountains, the reality of this image is that Christina Lustenberger, two filmers and I spent the night camping on the top of Ghost Peak later this evening during a particularly cold snap in Revelstoke. -30 C over night with a cold wind, frozen toes and hands, as well as ski boots that we could barely put on in the morning. The point where this image was taken was most likely the warmest we all were for the next two days, and it’s nice to think about the warmth of this image instead of the intense (or is it in tents?) cold that was slowly creeping towards us a few hours later. The December 2019 issue of Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine features a total rebrand and new graphic design for our print product.

New Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine graphic designer Sonia Garcia is behind the new look. Garcia, who recently moved to Revelstoke from Argentina, has a wealth of experience in editorial graphic design, including an expertise in typography.

Garcia worked with the team at Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine through a rebranding process to better align the magazine’s brand with its graphic design.

We are thrilled with the results and hope you will be too.

Sonia is also our new advertising designer and is standing by to help you create great, super-affordable (check out our rates here) advertising for you, even if you have no computer or design experience. Contact Sonia Garcia at

The new print product branding is the first in a series of changes, improvements and new directions for and Revelstoke Mountaineer Magazine, part of an effort to better serve our readers. Look for changes in our editorial direction, especially with, in the first quarter of the new year.

We’d like to thank everyone who helped out with this issue — we strive each issue to highlight the great things happening here in Revelstoke and couldn’t make each issue without a lot of partnership from the community!
