Update: Trans-Canada Highway reopened west of Revelstoke
DriveBC is reporting an MVI 19 km west of Revelstoke.

DriveBC is reporting Highway 1 west of Revelstoke has reopened.
Original Story:
A head on collision between two tractor trailers has closed the TransCanada Highway in both directions 19 kms west of Revelstoke. One driver is currently trapped, and one tractor trailer is over the edge of the bridge.
Both drivers are reported to be conscious and injuries are not immediately life threatening, the Revelstoke RCMP said in a media statement.
EMCON is on scene to assess the viability of the bridge. An RCMP traffic analyst is being deployed to assess the incident. The RCMP’s Trans-Canada East Traffic Services are currently on scene along with Revelstoke Fire Rescue Services, tow companies and flaggers. BC Ambulance is reported to be en-route.
There is currently no detour available. DriveBC is reporting the estimated time of opening is 6:30 p.m. The next update will be available at 4 p.m.
