Drones and diamond exploration? Revelstoke has that covered.

For the January Tech Meetup at Mountain CoLab, Revelstoke resident Frazer Hogg will be talking about technology in natural resources management, specifically for diamond exploration.

Frazer is the Manager of Airborne Survey Operations and Product Development at SHA Geophysics, where he works on promotion and coordination of magnetic and electromagnetic airborne surveys worldwide using SHA’s proprietary Heli-GT system.

They’ve also been working on the DAQNAV system, an advanced data acquisition and navigation system designed for the airborne survey industry. He’ll talk about how they use their technology for diamond exploration.

Hogg also recently developed an app called Boonmaps which provides offline 3D interactive maps to explore and navigate outdoor adventure areas across Western Canada (including Frisby and Boulder snowmobiling areas, and Blanket Glacier Chalet). See you there!
