You’ve arrived at your one-stop-shop for evening entertainment this weekend. With a plethora of events popping up on your Facebook newsfeed, sometimes it’s hard to keep track of everything going on in our lively town.
We’ve done the work of organizing your social calendar, so that you don’t have to! Check out this weekend’s events below. For more events happening during the week, take a look at our full events calendar.
Friday, March 29
Mat the Alien feat. Wesside at Traverse, 9 p.m.
Mat’s journey started after hearing the hypnotic, electronic sounds of ‘Acid Warehouse’ parties all over the Northwest of England in ’88. Since then, he has been mixing and scratching his way into the forefront of the electronic music scene worldwide. He has been featured in ground-breaking music blogs, worldwide charts, DJ sets, and radio shows – and now he’s back in Revelstoke!
So put on your dancing shoes, drink a coffee or two, and head on down to Traverse in time for happy hour! Doors open at 9 p.m. and happy hour will run until 10:30 p.m.
Dave Coalmine Band at The River City Pub, 10 p.m.
Who doesn’t love live music? This Friday night, the Kamloops-based band will be serving up classic rock and new rock, country, and pop, with a hearty helping of original tracks too. There is no cover charge for this event.
Saturday, March 30
‘Gnar Day’ at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, all day.
An unofficial party at the resort, which celebrates a legacy of ‘The Game of Gnar’. A game which measures “how rad you’re getting” by logging points every time you throw a trick, wear an epic outfit, ski a run on a monoski, or pull various other stunts as outlined in the game rules. Skiers and snowboarders will be dusting off the retro onesies and rummaging through the tickle trunk for an outfit that will make them score some points this Saturday.
There will also be live music from DJ Dexaville playing at the Rockford Grill Revelstoke Plaza 2-5:30 p.m.
Bare as You Dare (Gnar Day Party) at The Last Drop Pub, 10 p.m.
The event page boasts, “anything goes just make sure you have shoes on”. Whether you’ve been shredding the ski hill all day in your retro suit, your bathing suit, or even your birthday suit – it’s unlikely that you’ll find a more appropriate après stop than this. This free event will be kicking off at 10 p.m., with DJ Dusty Feet, Yanimal & Wes providing the beats.
DJ Invisible “Gnar-day-par-tay” at Traverse, 9 p.m.
Let the Gnar Day celebrations continue on through the night with DJ Invisible! Catch this renowned American DJ as he drops in at Traverse this weekend. Happy hour runs until 10:30 p.m. and there is no cover charge.
Sunday, March 31
Live Music and DJs at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, 2 p.m.
As part of a series of weekly live bands and DJs, The Rev Live Band will be performing this Sunday at the Rockford Grill Revelstoke Plaza at RMR from 2-5 p.m. It’s also Locals Day, which means day passes and rentals will be just $10 for Revelstoke residents.
Sunday Sessions at The Last Drop Pub, 8 p.m.
As part of an ongoing series, Sunday Sessions will return once more this weekend with your host Jesse Booth. The event will run from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. and will feature various musicians performing quality live music. With no cover charge, what better way to spend a Sunday evening?
