Man sentenced in April 2018 Revelstoke bank robbery
Henry Jon Christian Harder pleaded guilty to robbery and has been sentenced.
A bank robber has been sentenced to three years in custody and received a lifetime firearms ban for a bank robbery in Revelstoke in April of 2018.
On April 6, 2018, a man walked into the TD Bank on First Street West and demanded money, leaving with an “undisclosed amount,” said RCMP.
In April of 2018 Henry Jon Christian Harder, 32, was arrested and charged with robbery.
On Feb. 6, 2019, Harder pleaded guilty to the charge at the Revelstoke Courthouse.
According to a statement from the Revelstoke RCMP, he has been sentenced to three years in custody and received a lifetime firearms ban.
According to the provincial court services database, Harder has had many run-ins with the law. After deductions for time served, Harder will serve one year and 307 days as of the time of sentencing.
A search of Harder’s court records turns up numerous convictions in the Fraser Valley and several towns in the B.C. Interior, including for breach of undertaking, impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle while disqualified, breach of probation, assault, unlawful confinement, breach of undertaking, and uttering threats.
