Logging truck crashes
Logging truck takes a tumble on Townley Road on Friday morning.
An empty logging truck went off the road on Townley Street in Revelstoke on Friday morning, coming to a rest on its side after sliding down an embankment.
Revelstoke RCMP report the incident happened around 11 a.m. on Feb. 17.
The northbound truck went off the road and ended up partially blocking the adjacent Powerhouse Road.
The driver was able to walk away, but was sent to Queen Victoria Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life threatening.
The driver, a 33-year-old male, was charged with a Motor Vehicle Act offence of failing to keep right. Police ruled out alcohol and drugs as a factor. Road conditions were favourable and wet, and it was a few degrees above zero, police said.
