Ladies’ La Nina sled session benefits Revelstoke Hospice

A Dec. 19 ladies’ sled ride hosted by La Nina Sled Camp will benefit the Revelstoke Hospice Society, with a goal of raising $2,000 for the charity.

Organizer and local pro rider Nadine Overwater says it’s about the season of giving back. She chose hospice because of its widespread use throughout the community.

“I wanted to really bring it down to the community level and I am sure glad I did because the response and gratefulness I have heard from the ladies at the Hospice Society is heartwarming, and I know that the money will be put to good use!” Overwater said.

Overwater and her La Nina Sled Camp coach Brianna Lukkar and guest coaches Stephanie Laroy-Schwartz, and Acara Kada will lead a group of riders into the alpine for a day of riding. The event is being supported by Somewon, Great Canadian Snowmobile Tours, Big Eddy Pub, Motorfist and Divas Snow Gear.
